Fix Your Browser Settings

Music / Product Categories

This website is optimized to work with recent versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Regardless of what browser you use, JavaScript and downloads must be enabled (turned on) to be able to preview, purchase and download songs. If pop-ups are allowed by your browser, your songs will automatically download after each PayPal purchase transaction; otherwise, you can click on a link to start the download (see below).

NOTE - If you make a purchase using your PayPal account, your download should start automatically after you complete the payment process.  However, if you make a purchase via PayPal using a credit card, you must click on the "Click Here to Download Your Music from Christian Originals" link on the PayPal "Thank You for your payment" page to start the download.

We will send you an email after each purchase that gives you another way to download your purchased songs in case you missed any downloads while on this site.

If you continue to have problems, or if you need instructions for changing the settings in a different browser, please email us to let us know (see Contact Us).  We very interested in learning about any situations that may cause problems to occur.

Enabling JavaScript

If JavaScript is not enabled, you will not see the music player on any of the artist pages and you will not hear any music when you click the Preview link for a song; you also should see a large red warning box letting you know that your browser has JavaScript turned off.

Click here for instructions on how to change your JavaScript settings.

Pop-ups

Pop-up ads on some websites can be very annoying, so you may have changed your browser settings to block pop-ups or you may be using special software that blocks pop-ups. For a purchased song to download automatically after you have completed a PayPal purchase transaction, pop-ups must be allowed.  If pop-ups are blocked, you may see a warning bar appear across the top of your browser window. There should be instructions on how to allow pop-ups for this site.  After the setting is changed to allow pop-ups, clicking on the Refresh page button on your browser should start the download automatically.

You can download your purchased song, however, even with pop-ups blocked - just click on one of the links below the line that says "If for some reason you are unable to download your purchased file..." and the file should download.

Downloads

Most browsers are set to allow downloads, but problems with the latest version of Internet Explorer (IE7) are common because its default setting seems to be with downloads disabled.  If you recently upgraded your browser to IE7 (which can occur automatically, by the way), you may find that you can no longer download files even if you had no problem previously.

You can test if you can download song files by trying to download some of free songs from the group Take No Glory.

Click here for instructions on how to change Internet Explorer 7 settings to enable downloads.

Where did my downloads go?

The default settings for Internet Explorer and Firefox are usually to save downloaded files to your computer desktop.  This makes the files easy to find and easy to move to the folder that you want to store them in (such as your My Music folder).  Depending on your browser settings, a window should pop up after you have completed the PayPal purchase transaction that either asks you where to save the file or at least shows where your file will be saved.

Depending on your computer settings, your browser may:
1) ask whether your want to open the file (this is, start playing it in Windows Media Player or some other music player) or to save it (giving
you a chance to specify where the file should go),
2) it may download files without asking where to put them,
3) or it may start playing the file automatically in your music player.

Chances are, if you do not see a screen asking whether to save or open the file, it was saved somewhere on your computer and you need to determine where your computer puts downloaded files.

If the song that you purchased starts playing in a music player, you must save it during or right after the song plays, or you will lose it.
For Windows Media Player, you click on File (in the menu bar, or Alt+F if the menu bar is hidden) and then Save As.
