Introducing the new Christian Originals Artist Giftcards!
These giftcards make a great addition to your CDs and other sales
• Giftcards give your audience yet another way to buy music from you,
paying you now and downloading their choice of your songs later.
How it works
1. You can order sheets of ten giftcard labels in $10 or $20 values
from us; paying us half the face value of the giftcards; a sheet of
ten $10 giftcards ($100 value) costs you $50 and sheet of ten $20 giftcards
($200 value) costs you $100. To
order them, contact us by mail, email or phone. If you order often or in large quantities, we will discount your cost
per sheet.
NEW LOWER PRICING 10/12/07: We are drastically lowering the cost of giftcard labels to 10% of face value, so you can earn more by selling downloads than by selling CDs, with a lot less stuff to carry around! Because we will be barely covering our costs, we must charge a $5 postage and handling fee per order of any size (more if overseas). For example, an order of ten sheets of ten $10 gitcards (100 labels) would cost you $105 ($100 plus $5); when you sell the 100 $10 giftcards your income would be $1000, for a net income of $895. Also, unlike CD orders, there is no minimum order size for this discounted rate.
2. We can mail the sheets of labels to you, or alternatively, we can email them to you as PDF files, which you can print on sheets of address labels yourself. To print them yourself, you would need sheets having fourteen 1-1/3" x 4" labels (this is a non-standard size); the Avery numbers for these lables are 5162 (laser) or 8162 (inkjet), and the Staples product number is SIW0120 (laser and inkjet). As sales of giftcards increase, we plan to add a feature enabling you to purchase your giftcards online and download the PDF files anytime, just as you need them.
3. You can adhere the labels
on the backs of your own cards (you can use your promo photos, postcard-sized
cards, or CD inserts). Large cards allow room for your signature, giving the buyer a nice keepsake. Until
you have your own cards made, you can use our business card-sized generic cards (as shown above).
4. You sell the giftcards at your table alongside your CDs, charging
full value (or a discount price for multiple cards if you wish). You
receive double what you paid us for the giftcard labels.
5. When the giftcard buyer, or a family member or friend that they
give the giftcard to, logs on to the Christian Originals website
and types in the code number on the giftcard label, they are taken
directly to your page on Christian Originals. They are able to download
their choice of your songs until their balance is spent (generally
ten songs for $10 and 20 songs for $20). Once a giftcard holder logs
in, they have up to two weeks to select and download their choice of your
songs. Giftcards from Christian Originals are targeted to your music
alone, unlike giftcards from other music download websites, which allow
access to other artists’ music too.
These giftcards work in addition to your regular sales of music on
our site

You will continue to earn your usual commission on non-giftcard sales
of your music on Christian Originals (usually 50 cents per
song). With giftcards, you earn a profit at the time of sale. With regular
online sales, you are paid quarterly when your total reaches $20 or
more.
