Buying Music on Christian Originals

Our goal is to introduce you to a wide variety of talented Christian artists and to provide an easy way to preview and purchase a large selection of their songs, all without having to set up an account with us or to install any new software on your computer  It does help to have a high-speed Internet connection to get speedy downloads.  You can try downloading some free songs from one of our artists, Take No Glory, to see how long it takes to download a song (many of these free songs are longer - thus larger files - than most).

You can purchase and download music using a credit card or PayPal account, or using a giftcard purchased directly from many of our artists.  If you have any problems downloading a song that you have purchased, click here for suggestions.

Our songs are in the universally compatible MP3 format, the most widely used digital music format available.  These songs will play on nearly any computer, almost all portable digital music players including iPods, and even on many of the newer cell phones. So once you have the song files, you can enjoy the music everwhere you go!

Our songs are provided in a high bitrate, usually 192 kbps, for excellent sound quality in a reasonable file size, usually 4-7 MB.  We also make sure that each song file has ID3 file tags, which enable your music player display the artist, track title, album, genre, etc. Have you ever downloaded songs from an artist's website or an indie music site and noticed that the song title did not display when you played the song?  It's because the tags were missing!

The songs on Christian Originals are provided solely for personal use; any further distribution, resale or broadcasting are prohibited.  The music files do not have electronic copy protection, digital rights management (DRM), or any other technology designed to thwart your enjoyment of your music files. You may transfer copies to your MP3 players and other portable listening devices, and may burn copies onto CDs for your own personal use.

We request that you do not place any of these songs on file sharing programs, which would be immoral, unfair to the artists, and against copyright laws.  Please support your favorite musicians by purchasing their songs from Christian Originals or other legitimate sources.

The Artists on Christian Originals

The goal of Christian Originals is to share songs and music written and recorded by Christian artists who believe that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ and who seek to follow him as Lord.  Most of the artists featured on this site have confirmed that they agree with our simple Statement of Faith; those who have not signed this Statement will be noted.

We collaborate with independent artists, indie record labels, recording studios, and internet radio stations worldwide in a sincere effort to to bring you the best in independent Christian music anywhere!  Much of the music that you find here is not available for download anywhere else. We provide links to each artist's website, if they have one, in case you are interested in finding more information on the artist or would like to order their CDs.

If you are an independent artist, see our Info for Artists page to learn how to submit your music to us for consideration to be added to our site.  Unlike most music download sites offering music from independent artists, we do not allow artists to upload their music directly to our site.  This is to ensure that the quality and content of the songs meet our standards and that the message matches our goals and vision.
